FACULTY

Upward Bound Math Instructor - Part-time, federally-funded position.
Part-time/Temporary, federally-funded grant position which runs from September 2010 to March 2011.  It is two Saturday's a month only and no weekdays.  Requirements include:  Bachelors degree in Math or Certification in Math.  Instructor must be Oklahoma certified with at least two years of teaching experience.  Must be able to teach Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus.  Responsibilities include:  plan course work, develop lesson plans, and review and select appropriate curriculum for high school students.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, copy of Oklahoma certification, and three references with names, addresses, and telephone numbers.  Position is open until filled.    

Continuing Education Instructor - Part-time position.
Contract Continuing Education Instructor is needed to teach evening activity/exercise classes.  Potential Instructor must be certified by NETA or another nationally recognized certifying association in the activity they teach.  Activity classes are scheduled twice a week in 8-week sessions during the fall and spring semesters.  Instructor specialties currently sought include Water Aerobics and Zumba.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, and copies of certifications.  Position is open until filled. 

English Adjunct Faculty - Part-time positions.

PROFESSIONAL

TRiO Upward Bound Education Specialist - Full-time, grant funded position with excellent benefits.
Job duties include, but not limited to, assist in recruiting Upward Bound participants from target schools; maintain relationships with school personnel; develop educational and career plans for each UB participant; provide academic counseling to UB participants, including college plans; provide academic advising to UB participants including college preparatory courses and statewide tests; monitor student progress and grade reports; assist with required UB reports; help facilitate planning and evaluating curriculum and activities for the Academic Year, Summer, and Bridge Components; participate in UB campus visits, field trips, including overnight trips; and travel to conferences and area schools.  Applicant must have demonstrated success in maintaining good rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.  Bachelor's degree in education or behavioral science required, Master's degree preferred.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled. 

 

SUPPORT

Food Service Manager - Full-time position with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities include menu planning, ordering food, inventory, budgeting, equipment management, and supervision of staff for a full-service higher education food service operation.  Food service management experience required.  Experience managing a dining/catering/banquet facility preferred.  Must be self disciplined, dedicated, responsible, and have excellent communication skills.  Must be willing to work extended hours as needed.  Experience with public school, higher education, and/or Aging Services meals preferred.  Food service management training and/or certification preferred.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts and/or certifications, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.  

Professional Tutor - Part-time position.
Responsibilities include individual and small group tutoring sessions in approved subjects, facilitate learning as a guide to assist the student to become a successful, independent learner, facilitate an increase and enhancement in student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study as presented by the course instructor, and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the student's potential for academic progress.  A Professional Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students and instructors.  He or she must have a Bachelor's degree in the content area or a related subject area.  Area of interest is Accounting.  To apply for this position, submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

Peer Tutor(s) - Part-time position(s).

Upward Bound Bus Driver - Part-time/Temporary position.
This is a part-time position for a federally-funded grant program.  Requirements include:  Oklahoma Driver's license; verifiable safe driving record; extremely flexible schedule; and knowledge of the surrounding five-county service areas (Caddo, Blaine, Kingfisher, Grady, and Canadian Counties).  Responsibilities include:  safely transporting Upward Bound students to and from UB events as directed by Upward Bound staff.  Drivers must follow all the Redlands Community College's Physical Plant policies for checking out and utilizing college vehicles.  Driver is responsible for the safety of UB participants in transit.  Applications may be picked up from the Redlands Community College Human Resources Department, located at 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Review of applications will begin immediately.  Position is open until filled. 

Housekeeper
Part-time position available, 32 hours per week.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning/sweeping/vacuuming/mopping of classrooms, halls, public areas, and offices, cleaning offices and bathrooms, emptying trash, stocking bathrooms, and general maintenance.  Must be able to work occasional evenings on an as-needed basis.  Applicants must have reliable transportation.  Applications may be picked up from Redlands Community College, Human Resources Office, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036. Administrative Assistant for Upward Bound - 12-month, full-time, grant-funded position with excellent benefits.
Position reports directly to the Director for Upward Bound.  Qualified applicant must be able to perform office duties such as maintaining files, telephone management, office management skills, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet skills, accurate data entry, bookkeeping, and accounting skills.  Applicant must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent oral and written skills, be dependable and punctual, as well as enjoy working with youth from low income, first generation families, high school students and parents.  Associates degree required AND/OR 2 or more years related experience.  Bachelor's degree preferred.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, list of names and telephone numbers of three references, and copies of college transcripts.  Position is open until filled. 

General Farm Hands - Part-time positions.
Part-time positions available, 20 and 32 hour positions.  Would prefer the applicant have know how of farming and farm equipment; have the ability to operate tractors, mowers, and string trimmers; have the ability to lift at least 75 pounds; and have knowledge of livestock and livestock feeding.  Livestock work is mainly with dairy and meat goats.  Must be available to work a rotating shift; some week-end and holiday work is required.  Other duties would be assigned.  Applications may be picked up from Redlands Community College, Human Resources Department, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Positions are open until filled. 

Dairy Technical Assistant - Part-time position.

Arena/Barn Worker(s) - Part-time position(s).

Upward Bound Math Tutors - Part-time, federally-funded positions.
Three positions available.  Part-time/Temporary, federally-funded grant positions which run from September 2010 to March 2011.  It is two Saturday's a month only and no weekdays.  Requirements include:  either an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Math or have completed 2 years of college coursework in Math.  Tutor must have at least two years of tutoring experience.  Must be able to tutor Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Trigonometry.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and telephone numbers.  Positions are open until filled.   

 

STUDENT WORKSTUDY POSITIONS

All Student Workstudy positions are part-time federally funded positions, which require certain criteria to be eligible.  You must be enrolled as a half-time student or greater at Redlands Community College and meet eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office.  The maximum work hours in these positions are 20 hours per week.  The hourly wage is minimum wage, which is currently $7.25 per hour.

Workstudy employment applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Office.  A copy of your current class schedule must be submitted with your employment application.  All Workstudy positions are open until filled.

Nursing/Allied Health Office Assistant
Position will answer the phone, file, assist in the lab, and other duties as assigned.
