Casey Dell Brantley Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established by Peggy Brantley and the late Bob Brantley of Calumet in memory of their daughter Casey Dell Brantley. Casey would have been in the Calumet graduating class of 2001 and the money she had personally saved for her college education was used for the first scholarship award. Casey was interested in pursuing a health-related or legal profession.

Cathi “Mac” Kennedy Endowed Scholarship
Established by Bob and Peggy Brantley in memory of their daughter, Casey Dell Brantley. The scholarship is named in honor of Casey’s favorite teacher, Ms. Cathi “Mac” Kennedy, who touched their daughter’s life in a special way. Ms. Kennedy is a Calumet teacher who goes beyond the duties normally required of a teacher and she will be honored in years to come for this dedication.

Center of Excellence Scholarships
The Center of Excellence Scholarships are available to qualified Freshman or Sophomore students enrolled full-time at Redlands Community College and working toward an Associate in Science Degree in Agriculture or Equine. Scholarship amounts vary, but will not exceed $1,000 per semester for a maximum of four semesters. Continuation of scholarships is contingent upon continued funding through the Center of Excellence from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and compliance with the Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities.

Doris Anne Smith Memorial Scholarship (transfer)
Established in memory of Doris Anne Smith by her family and funded through their generosity and by those who loved her and were touched by her influence. The scholarship is awarded each year to a Redlands Community College graduate who plans to continue his or her education at a four-year college or university.

Must declare a major in Art or present information showing that you plan to further your education in an art related field once receiving your degree at Redlands Community College. Art declared majors will have higher consideration.

Emily Kay Wilds Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Emily Kay Wilds by her parents, Jana and David Wilds, and brother Jared Wilds. Emily was an outstanding person in all areas of life. She had just completed her eighth grade year when her life was taken on July 7, 1997 in a car accident on the way to Falls Creek Church Camp. Her dream was to attend Redlands Community College to major in Equine Science then transfer to Oklahoma State University to become a veterinarian.

Francis E. Horn Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mrs. Lois M. Horn of El Reno. Mr. Horn served for more than 38 years in the US Navy and Air Force; later he was a hospital administrator in various Oklahoma hospitals. He believed that any student entering the medical profession should receive as much help and training as was possible to become a better nurse or EMT. The scholarship is intended for a first year student who earnestly desires a career in the health care field.

Established by Charles Gilmore, Mark Gilmore, and Kathy Gilmore Booth in memory of their father, Tom Gilmore. The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Mr. Gilmore's professional and personal belief in the power of education to enhance and change an individual's life.

James S. Gibson Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Gibson and Ms. Jenny Gibson in honor of their father and grandfather, Mr. James S. Gibson, whose lifestyle exemplified personal, professional, and spiritual leadership. Many members and friends of the Gibson family have joined in the efforts to maintain this scholarship in Mr. Gibson’s memory. This scholarship is designated for a student who has graduated from a high school in the RCC service area to help defray the cost of tuition, fees, books, and other college related expenses.

Joe Entz Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Joe Entz by his family, Donnie Entz, Bobby Andrews, Margaret Andrews, and Betty Andrews. The purpose is to recognize Joe’s intense interest in returning to college to pursue his educational and career goals and to provide support for students who wish to pursue a college education. This scholarship is awarded to a full time student who has graduated from a high school in the RCC service area to help cover the cost of books, tuition, fees, and other college related expenses.

Margaret E. Petree Scholarships (transfer)
This scholarship is one of the most prestigious awarded by RCC, going to a graduate planning to continue his or her education at a four-year institution. Applicants are to exhibit outstanding leadership qualities, dedication to the classroom, and superior academic achievement. Two scholarships are awarded each May to RCC graduates transferring to four-year institutions.

Marie West Lyons Scholarship
Established by Mr. Leon Wayland in memory of Ms. Lyons, who was a member of Chapter AE, P.E.O. She was a longtime resident of El Reno who had an intense interest in journalism, commercial art, and the fine arts in general. The scholarship is awarded to an El Reno High School graduate planning to pursue a degree in one of these related areas.

Michael Earl Croy Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to an adult nursing student who has completed certain criteria in the RCC nursing program. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Croy, Yukon, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Croy, Binger, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warren, El Reno, are the donors of the scholarship.

N.E. and Pearl Douglas Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Blanc of Kansas City, Missouri, to honor his grandfather’s lifelong career in law enforcement. Stemming from 1935 to 1967 with the El Reno Police Department, Mr. Douglas started on the ground floor of the department as a night patrolman and retired as Chief of Police. The scholarship recipient must be enrolled in a law enforcement curriculum, show a sincere desire to better himself through a college education, exhibit need for the financial support, and maintain contact with them concerning school activities and accomplishments.

Dewayne Peters & Dennis Harryman Memorial Scholarship
Established by the RCC Aggie Club in memory of Dewayne Peters and Dennis Harryman. The purpose is to recognize Mr. Peters’ and Mr. Harryman’s commitment to agriculture and livestock judging and to provide support for students who desire to pursue a college education in an agriculture-related field. The scholarship is intended for an RCC freshman student who is a member of the RCC Livestock Judging Team and the RCC Aggie Club. Funds are applied for tuition, fees, books, and other college related expenses.

Established by Dr. J.H. Goldberger, Austin, Texas. Mrs. Strong, manager of the RCC Bookstore prior to her death, showed a particular interest in those students whose financial situation demanded they be employed while attending college. The scholarship is intended for a working student to help cover college expenses.

Tommy Pinkston Family Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established by Jack and JoAnn Gedosh in memory of JoAnn Pinkston Gedosh’s parents, Tommy and Marguerite Pinkston and brothers, Bill and Mike, who were long time residents of the Minco-Union City community. With roots in Canadian County and a strong advocate of the community college system, JoAnn pays tribute to her family as well as saying “thanks” for a good place to grow up.
The Gedosh gift created a paramount opportunity for the Foundation to partner with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, which facilitated the college Foundation to apply for a matching grant from the Kirkpatrick Family Affiliated Fund. A favorable matching award substantially increased the value of the Gedosh Fund, creating a larger annual return.

Trotter-Gambel Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Burrel Gambel who graduated from “El Reno Junior College” in 1941 and now live in Chickasha. This scholarship assists women who continue to balance family responsibilities and, oftentimes, full time employment, while continuing their education at RCC. Award is made to an adult female student to help with the cost of tuition, fees, and books.

Must be a graduate of Okarche High School - minimum GPA of 2.5 or ACT Composite of 17 - must enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester - submit an essay of 200 words or less stating your greatest accomplishments and how you have used that experience to influence or inspire others.

In 2000, the Follett Corporation leased the bookstore operation from RCC. The scholarships were established through their desire to financially assist worthy students who attend Redlands Community College.
