Upward Bound Math Instructor - Part-time position.
Part-time/Temporary, federally-funded grant position which runs from September 2011 to March 2012. It is two Saturday's a month only and no weekdays. Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Math or certification in Math. Instructor must be Oklahoma certified with at least two years of teaching experience. Must be able to teach Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Responsibilities include: plan course work, develop lesson plans, review and select appropriate curriculum for high school students. EMT Clinical Coordinator - Part-time Adjunct Faculty position.
Twelve month, part-time instructional staff position. Responsibilities include: classroom and laboratory instruction for EMT courses; responsible for all student clinical scheduling and activities within the EMT Program affiliates; assist in maintaining program accreditation; clinical site, student and instructor recruiting; clinical counseling and advising; clinical committee involvement; personal growth and development; and miscellaneous assignments to the courses and EMT Program. Applicant must possess good verbal and written skills; possess good time management skills; maintain appropriate ethical and professional behavior; be aware of local, state, and national trends; and possess basic skills in Microsoft Office applications. Required qualifications include Paramedic license issued by the State of Oklahoma, current AHA BLS instructor certification, a valid driver's license, and be insurable to drive a State owned vehicle. Preferred qualifications include experience as a field training officer for a 911 EMS agency and AHA Instructor certifications in ACLS and PALS. EMS Clinical Instructor/Lab Instructor - Part-time position.
Responsibilities include assisting students in all levels of EMS Lab skills (FR through Paramedic). Position will communicate with Lab Coordinator, EMT Program Coordinator, and all EMT Adjunct Faculty to discuss objectives and student progress/problems throughout the semester. Must be able to exhibit appropriate professional attire (business casual) and behavior; follow all course guidelines and expectations as outlined in course and clinical syllabus; arrive 15 minutes early to assure lab is set up to accommodate student needs; meet with students, assist them in becoming proficient with required laboratory skills, evaluate student proficiency concerning required skills, and document observations of student skills and behaviors for Basic EMT through PC IV students as needed; and possess current and valid NR and OK licensure at the EMT level being taught or higher. Requirements include a minimum of two years clinical experience; evidence of current or recent practice in the health field; maintain Health Care Provider CPR; and must be able to proficiently demonstrate every required skill. Associate's degree or higher preferred with Paramedic level and EMS Instructor certification. EMT Adjunct Instructor - Part-time position.
Adjunct Instructor is needed to teach classes in Emergency Medical Technology. Requirements for the position: Applicant must hold a license in the Health Profession (EMT, Paramedic), State EMS Instructor Certification, CPR Instructor, and Experience in the Health/EMS Field (Minimum of 2 years level of instruction). Classes taught by this position could include: 1st Responder EMS 1113; Basic EMT EMS 1117; EMT Intermediate EMS 1129; and/or Paramedic Care I EMS 2219. Assistant Volleyball Coach - Part-time position.
Duties include on and off the floor coaching, travel, scouting, recruiting, academic assistance and other duties as assigned. Coordinator for Retention and Advisor - Full-time position with excellent benefits.
12-month, full-time position with excellent benefits. This position is a liaison between faculty and students in order to have a positive impact on retention by helping students with academic planning, tutoring, scheduling and other resources to ensure student persistence and success. Responsibilities include regular monitoring and management of the early intervention system; assist with the evaluation and processing of applications for admissions; perform data entry functions as required; process, admit, and maintain appropriate international student records; correspond with students regarding admission status; act on requests for retention assistance from the faculty; monitor student attendance, academic progress and provide positive intervention as necessary; provide assistance with advisement and enrollment of new and returning students; provide overall support for student services and the enrollment management process; and perform additional duties as the primary advisor for the Reach Higher Degree Completion Program. Required qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree or within 12 hours of completion, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and good general computer and data entry skills. Security Staff - Part-time position.
Part-time position, averaging 32 hours per week. Applicant should be willing to work any shift, including overnight, week-ends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Applicant must be dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, hardworking, and physically fit. Reliable transportation is required. Familiarity with federal and state law enforcement regulations a plus. CLEET certification a plus. Familiarity with technology an asset. Peer Tutor(s) - Part-time position(s).
Part-time student positions working up to 20 hours per week. AAA Center is looking for tutors in the areas of accounting and writing. Tutors will provide individual and small group tutoring sessions in approved subjects; facilitate learning as a guide to assist the student to become a successful, independent learner; facilitate an increase and enhancement in student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study as presented by the course instructor; and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the student's potential for academic progress. A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students and instructors. Qualifications include: successfully completed the course of study for which they will be tutoring and enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College. All Student Workstudy positions are part-time federally funded positions, which require certain criteria to be eligible. You must be enrolled as a half-time student or greater at Redlands Community College and meet eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office. The maximum work hours in these positions are 20 hours per week. The hourly wage is minimum wage, which is currently $7.25 per hour.
