Fall Enrollment Event July 20

Classes will resume on campus and online at Redlands Community College Aug. 17, and to help new and returning students prepare for the fall semester, the Admissions and Advising office will hold a special enrollment night from 4 to 7 p.m. July 20.

“We understand how challenging it has been for students, especially new college students, to navigate the enrollment process since in-person meetings have been limited,” said Tricia Hobson, executive director of Student Services. “We look forward to meeting with students and their families to help them build the schedule that works best for them and to answer any questions about financial aid, classes and the college’s safety precautions for this next academic year.”

During the event, advisors will be enrolling students for the Fall, and discussing financial aid, concurrent enrollment and student support services. Attendees can also tour the campus as well as visit student housing and make housing reservations. Placement tests will be given as needed on a walk-in basis until 6:15 p.m.

Registration for the event is online at www.redlandscc.edu/enrollment-event. All students must bring a photo ID, and new students must bring an official high school transcript, any college transcripts, and ACT scores for tests taken less than two years ago. New students will also need to bring bank account and routing numbers to establish a method to process refunds. To apply for financial aid, students need to submit the Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA).

“This is the perfect opportunity for anyone to get one-on-one help with the enrollment process. Starting college can be overwhelming, and the current health crisis has made it even more challenging.,” Hobson said. “This enrollment event is a one-stop shop for our students since representatives from different offices will be on hand to help, but students are encouraged to stop by our office any time Monday through Thursday to meet with an advisor.”

To celebrate the start of a new year, the Admissions and Advising office has several prizes for students who attend the enrollment event July 20. Attendees will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win Apple AirPods, $1,000 tuition waivers and Redlands Gift Bags filled with merchandise. Students who sign up for campus housing, pay deposit and sign the housing contract during the event will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $500 housing waiver to be applied to fall housing charges.

The Admissions and Advising office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Friday during the Summer. Campus offices will return to regular business hours of Monday 8 a.m. to 7 pm. and Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning August 3.

Redlands Community College is following CDC guidelines concerning social distancing and wearing face masks. For the health and safety of our community and college, we ask that visitors to our campus also wear masks.
