Few colleges the size of Redlands have such a wide range of academic programs — not to mention the levels of excellence. Redlands houses a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the largest Honors Society for two-year colleges.

Undergraduates at Redlands get to be involved in conducting research. Plus, all classes are taught by the full professor: there are no graduate-student teachers.

Paying for Redlands

A college education at Redlands costs less than the Oklahoma state average for public institutions (based on cost per credit hour). For students planning to attain a four-year degree, completing the first two at Redlands can save you thousands.

Twister Trek 5K fun run winners in the Women’s Division are Carrie Whitlow, El Reno, first place; Karlee Trammell, Washington, second place; and Erica Duncan, Newalla, third place. The inaugural Twister Trek 5K fun run was a successful fundraiser benefiting the Redlands Community College and El Reno Public Schools Cross Country teams. With more than 70 runners registered and multiple corporate sponsors, the event brought in over $2000 to be divided between the two programs.

“We are thrilled with the response to this new event and the support we received from area businesses and organizations,” said Natalie Graves, Redlands’ cross country coach. “It was wonderful to see not only our students participating but to have runners from surrounding communities. We look forward to seeing the race grow over the next several years.”

Medals were awarded in two categories. Winners in the Women’s Division were Carrie Whitlow, El Reno, first place; Karlee Trammell, Washington, second place; and Erica Duncan, Newalla, third place. Men’s Division winners were Liam Johnson, Marlow, first place; Drake Holland, El Reno, second place; and Shanon Eichholz, El Reno, third place.

Sponsors for the fun run were Blanc Centennial Farms, Canadian County TSET Healthy Living Program, City of El Reno, Healthcare One and Urgent Care, and Raising Cane’s.
