Successful 5K Fun Run Benefits El Reno, Redlands Cross Country Teams

Twister Trek 5K fun run winners in the Women’s Division are Carrie Whitlow, El Reno, first place; Karlee Trammell, Washington, second place; and Erica Duncan, Newalla, third place.The inaugural Twister Trek 5K fun run was a successful fundraiser benefiting the Redlands Community College and El Reno Public Schools Cross Country teams. With more than 70 runners registered and multiple corporate sponsors, the event brought in over $2000 to be divided between the two programs.

“We are thrilled with the response to this new event and the support we received from area businesses and organizations,” said Natalie Graves, Redlands’ cross country coach. “It was wonderful to see not only our students participating but to have runners from surrounding communities. We look forward to seeing the race grow over the next several years.”

Medals were awarded in two categories. Winners in the Women’s Division were Carrie Whitlow, El Reno, first place; Karlee Trammell, Washington, second place; and Erica Duncan, Newalla, third place. Men’s Division winners were Liam Johnson, Marlow, first place; Drake Holland, El Reno, second place; and Shanon Eichholz, El Reno, third place.
