Redlands Community College’s Darlington Agriculture Education and Applied Research Center was designated as a Center of Excellence by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as part of the Brain Gain 2006 program.

The award of $2.3 million will be made to the college throughout the years 2005-2010. RCC will use the award to prepare agriculture students and producers for lifelong learning in today’s high technology, fast-paced environment.

  • Enhanced Quality of the Meat and Dairy Goat Herds

Fourth Year: (2008-2009)

  • New Marketing Options for Auxiliary Products
  • Host State and Nation Wide Conferences
  • Develop Student Study Abroad Trips

Fifth Year: (2009-2010)

  • Remodel Existing Darlington 1912 Chapel into International Conference Center
  • Refinement of Applied Research Facilities

After Five Years

At the successful conclusion of the five-year award, funds to continue the Center of Excellence will become a permanent budget item at Redlands.
