The Workforce & Economic Development (WED) division at Redlands Community College (RCC) provides diverse services in assisting our clients that enhance economic, community, business and personal development throughout our region. Redlands, a comprehensive community college, puts the "college" in the community and the "community" in the college through a variety of programs and business practices.
On an institutional level, Redlands is actively engaged in regional and statewide economic development projects and organizations like the Southwest Oklahoma Impact Coalition (SOIC) and the Central Oklahoma Regional Development (CORD), numerous public/private partnerships, cutting edge applied undergraduate research projects, student internship opportunities and serves as a regional clearinghouse for the services available through our extensive network of colleagues and partners, who all strive to enable business industry to flourish and prosper through our great state.
Mike Raymond, the Manufacturing Extension Agent serving Blaine, Canadian, Grady and Kingfisher counties provides industrial extension services through the Oklahoma Alliance for Manufacturing Excellence program.
Cory Herndon, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce West Central Rural Development Specialist, is housed on the Redlands campus and serves a 12 county region and offers a wide variety of services, programs and technical experts.
Through our Cooperative & Off-Campus Programs department headed by Kimberly Vaught, we work extensively with area Career Technology Centers to meet the training needs identified by local business and industry.
Individualized training needs are provided through the Redlands Continuing Education department. We provide customized training needs as well as workshops and programs that are presented by numerous national recognized leaders in their fields of business, allied health and other professional services.
