Basketball Game Day Workers

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for Basketball Game Day Worker positions.  These are part-time, temporary positions that pay $16.00 per hour and runs from mid-August to May. Game Day Workers will be scheduled for various positions, including time/scorekeeper, bookkeeper, and announcer. Responsibilities include: Time/Scorekeeper: Operating the scoreboard clock, shot clock, and inputting scores for games. Bookkeeper: Tracking individual player statistics, monitoring penalties or fouls, and alerting officials when a player reaches their limit (prior experience required for this role). Announcer: Introducing teams and players, leading the Pledge/National Anthem, providing play-by-play commentary, and managing music or other audio and talent during game breaks. Additional duties for these positions include arriving early for equipment setup, staying after the game for takedown, following facility policies, and reporting unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Qualifications include:  Knowledge or past experience with the sport being played is required for all positions. Employees must be able to work a flexible schedule based on game needs. Farm Hand at Darlington

Part-time position(s) working up to 25 hours per week. Livestock work primarily involves meat goats. Duties include: attending to live animals, which encompasses feeding, watering, herding, weighing, catching, and loading animals. Additional duties may include landscaping and maintenance on the Darlington campus, maintaining records on animals, examining animals to detect diseases and injuries, assisting in birth deliveries, and administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate. Applicants must be able to perform general cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including cleaning and maintaining animal housing areas. They should also be capable of operating tractors, mowers, and string trimmers and must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Applicants must be able to tolerate extreme cold and hot temperatures; as well as tolerate animal dander; and be willing to work a highly flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Records Specialist

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for our Records Specialist position. This is a full-time, 12-month support staff position with excellent benefits. The salary range for this position is $28,000 to $30,900. This position reports to the college Registrar.  Responsibilities include: Assist with the receipt and processing of admissions documents, including applications, transcripts, and other documents for Redlands; support office operations to include document imaging functions, records storage and retention responsibility, manual corrections and maintenance of student history files; process transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and degree verifications; provide information and service to other campus departments and students such as transcripts, enrollment verifications, or degree verifications; organize all incoming documents; assist with identifying, recruiting, and processing reverse transfer graduates and adult re-engagement candidates; assist with the annual graduation ceremony; and maintain confidentiality and comply with all privacy and FERPA guidelines. Required qualifications: Associate Degree or equivalent experience; knowledge of FERPA regulations; knowledge of OSRHE policies; excellent communication and service skills; have a high degree of accuracy with working with detailed information; excellent organizational and time-management skills; and proficiency in computer and office software applications. Peer Tutor for Title IV Student Support Services

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the position of Peer Tutor for the Title IV Student Support Services (SSS) Grant. This is a part-time student position working up to 20 hours per week for a federally-funded grant program. Responsibilities include: provide tutoring for TRIO SSS students and lead group study sessions; participate in TRIO SSS workshops and cultural events; and work as an advocate for those they tutor when appropriate. Qualifications include: ability to quickly establish rapport with students, staff, faculty, and TRIO SSS program staff; have a college transcript that reflects previous academic success with a grade of “B” or better in any course for which tutoring will be provided; and be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College. Peer Tutor(s) for NASNTI STEM

Part-time student position(s) working up to 20 hours per week for a federally-funded grant program. The Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Stem (Part A) Grant is looking for tutors in all areas of Math and Science. Tutors will provide individual and group tutoring sessions designed to increase student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course, integrate skills in effective study, learning to enhance academic success and provide general academic assistance in one or more science areas of study. A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport with students, staff, faculty, and NASNTI-STEM program staff.  Qualifications include: A grade of “B” or better in any course for which tutoring will be provided and enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College is preferred, though students enrolled at four-year institutions will be considered.   To apply: Complete an online employment application. Ranch Hand at Royse Ranch

Redlands Community College is seeking candidates to apply for a Ranch Hand at Royse Ranch. This is a part-time position, limited to working 25 hours per week at $10.00 per hour at the Royse Ranch location.  Responsibilities include:  Arena and ranch general maintenance; painting, mowing and weedeating; fence building; operating farm machinery and equipment; general care of animals (i.e., feeding, watering, cleaning of pens, etc.); may include the use of some chemicals and hazardous products; and other duties as assigned.  Skills, Knowledge and Experience preferred:  Mechanical maintenance and repair; welding; chemical application; operate tractors with frontend loaders; operate zero-turn mowers; operate engine driven tools (weed eaters, chainsaws, etc.); cattle handling (gathering, sorting, loading, and administering medication and vaccine); tagging calves at birth without help; fence building and repair (electric, barbed wire, and cable); and ability to drive a pickup while pulling a trailer and be able to back it up.  Requirements:  Applicant must be able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs. (bale of hay etc.) in the course of their daily tasks; current valid driver’s license; must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and/or evenings as needed; must be able to read, comprehend, and follow operator manuals; must be able to understand and follow verbal directions; must be able to work in dusty conditions; and must be able to work in all weather conditions.  Enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College preferred, but not mandatory.  To apply:  Interested applicants are required to complete an online employment application. Fitness Center Worker

Redlands Community College is seeking candidates to apply for the Fitness Center Worker position(s).  This is a part-time position paying $7.25 per hour, working between 12 to 20 hours per week. The Fitness Center Worker is responsible for the safety and well-being of individuals using the Fitness Center facility.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to: being alert at all times of surroundings, preventing situations that may result in accidents or injury, keep facility and equipment clean at all times, report broken equipment or building problems, show members how to use equipment as needed, react to emergency situations. Qualifications include: good communication skills both written and verbal, strong work ethic, reliable, good social skills and customer service skills, must be able to work without supervision, must be able to work a variety of hours including weekends and evenings, ability to handle emergency situations, ability to work with diverse populations, and ability to lift 50 pounds.  Responsible for making sure shift is covered if unable to work.  To apply: Complete an online employment application.
