Natalie Cox was a multi-sport athlete, competing in cross country, basketball and track & field. A graduate of Union High School in Tulsa, Cox earned a spot in the Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997. Cox attended Baker University in Kansas on a double scholarship for both basketball and track & field where she earned Academic All-American honors, and was a member of a record-setting relay team. She earned a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in coaching from Baker University and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Kansas. She also holds USA Track & Field specialist certifications in cross country and power/speed events. Cox has over 10 years of cross country and track & field coaching experience in Kansas and Oklahoma. She has also worked to help develop and implemented cross country programs and running clubs for youth in her communities.
Tim McMichael, Assistant Coach
Tim McMichael comes to Redlands with 30 years of competition and coaching experience. He was an All-American pole vaulter at the University of Oklahoma where he began his coaching career as an assistant in 1990. He was the head coach at Southern Nazarene University from 1999-2005. Tim currently teaches English and Humanities and is excited to begin coaching for the Redlands Cougars.
