Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track
Professor of Mathematics position. This is a 9-month appointment with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teaching, advising, recruiting, and mentoring students
Evaluating student performance
Maintaining departmental and student information in accordance with policy
Adhering to the educational philosophy of the college
Working in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers
Participating in faculty and departmental meetings
Developing curriculum and assessment plans for courses in your field of expertise
Integrating applied research into the curriculum
Teaching mathematics courses ranging from developmental (zero-level) to 1000/2000-level
Potential courses that may be included:
College Algebra
Functions and Modeling
General Quantitative Reasoning
Structural Concepts in Arithmetic
Calculus
Statistics
Trigonometry and
Foundations of Mathematical Reasoning
Teaching in a variety of instructional formats (face-to-face, hybrid, and online)
as well as morning, daytime and evening classes
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate
hours in a mathematics-related area
Two years of teaching experience at the collegiate level
Demonstrated dedication to teaching, professional development, and academic student
engagement
Be an accomplished, creative, and energetic teacher that can provide evidence of teaching
and mentoring undergraduate students
Effective online teaching experience including completion of Quality Matters online
training certification (or willingness to complete)
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in a related field
Community college teaching experience

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is
believed to exist.
