Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for Basketball
Game Day Worker positions. These are part-time, temporary positions that pay $16.00
per hour and runs from mid-August to May. Game Day Workers will be scheduled for various
positions, including time/scorekeeper, bookkeeper, and announcer.
Responsibilities include:
Time/Scorekeeper: Operating the scoreboard clock, shot clock, and inputting scores for games. Bookkeeper:
Tracking individual player statistics, monitoring penalties or fouls, and alerting
officials when a player reaches their limit (prior experience required for this role).
Announcer: Introducing teams and players, leading the Pledge/National Anthem, providing play-by-play
commentary, and managing music or other audio and talent during game breaks.
Additional duties for these positions include arriving early for equipment setup,
staying after the game for takedown, following facility policies, and reporting unsafe
conditions to the supervisor.
Qualifications include: Knowledge or past experience with the sport being played is required for all positions.
Employees must be able to work a flexible schedule based on game needs. Arriving before
games and staying afterward is required.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is
