Few colleges the size of Redlands have such a wide range of academic programs — not to mention the levels of excellence. Redlands houses a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the largest Honors Society for two-year colleges.

Undergraduates at Redlands get to be involved in conducting research. Plus, all classes are taught by the full professor: there are no graduate-student teachers.

A college education at Redlands costs less than the Oklahoma state average for public institutions (based on cost per credit hour). For students planning to attain a four-year degree, completing the first two at Redlands can save you thousands.

REDLANDS ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS

EL RENO, Okla. — Redlands Community College announced today that Dayna Rowe of Yukon has been named director of public communications and marketing. She will lead the college’s media relations and strategic communications efforts.

“Redlands is very fortunate to have someone with Dayna’s educational background and communication experience join our team. Her passion for bringing greater learning opportunities to Oklahomans will be a great asset to our staff,” said Redlands President Jack Bryant.

Rowe comes with more than 15 years of experience advocating for education in Oklahoma. Since 2005, she has been instrumental in expanding professional development opportunities for teachers throughout the state as administrator of teacher grant programs with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. She established the foundation’s social media presence and developed marketing for the organization’s various programs.

Prior to the foundation, Rowe spent more than five years in the communications department at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, developing strategies to help prepare high school students and adult learners for college. She also served as the State Regents’ liaison for the Oklahoma College Savings Plan.

“I look forward to working with President Bryant, faculty and staff to share the message that Redlands is an incredible campus where all students can get a quality education that will prepare them for a competitive job market,” Rowe said.

Rowe, a Watonga native, received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a volunteer with the Yukon High School band boosters, Cub Scouts and Council Road Baptist Church preschool ministry.
