Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Coordinator
of Resident Life position. This is a full-time professional position working 40 hours
per week, with an annual salary ranging from $46,000–$49,000 and an excellent benefits
package. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President. The Coordinator
of Resident Life is responsible for managing all aspects of student housing, residence
life, and housing-related student concerns. Key responsibilities include overseeing
daily housing operations, supporting student engagement and success, and ensuring
the efficient administration of the Student Housing Program in alignment with the
College’s educational mission. The position is also responsible for the fair and consistent
enforcement of student life policies while fostering a safe, structured, and supportive
campus environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage all housing and residence life operations to ensure efficient daily performance
and a positive student experience.
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Resident Assistants (RAs).
Manage the annual student housing application and registration process for new and
returning students.
Collaborate with Athletics, Academic Affairs, and other departments regarding student
compliance and student success matters.
Manage room assignments, room changes, and housing placement processes.
Coordinate housing opening and closing procedures for semester breaks and summer housing
operations.
Ensure housing facilities and services provide students with a safe, clean, and well-maintained
living environment; assess student satisfaction and implement improvements as appropriate.
Collaborate with Physical Plant staff to ensure timely maintenance and upkeep of housing
facilities.
Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information in accordance with applicable
laws, regulations, and College policies, including FERPA requirements.
Enforce housing and residence life policies; investigate student conduct concerns,
initiate disciplinary action when appropriate, mediate conflicts, and support student
problem resolution processes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student interactions, conduct matters,
incidents, and housing operations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and
institutional needs.
This position requires availability outside normal business hours, including evenings
and weekends, to respond to student and housing-related matters as needed.

Demonstrated initiative with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
proactively.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities effectively.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is
