Words of Acknowledgement
There truly are not enough words to express the gratitude we feel for friends, family and community who surrounded us with unwavering love and support throughout nursing school. In the moments when we were exhausted, overwhelmed and unsure, you reminded us why we started this journey and helped us keep our purpose.
Every prayer, encouraging word, act of kindness - big or small - meant more to us than we can ever fully say. You carried us with you on the days we did not feel strong and you celebrated us even when we struggled to see how far we had come.
This journey was never ours alone - it belongs to all of you who stood beside us. We are forever grateful and will carry your love with us into every patient we care for. Thank you for being our foundation, our strength, and our heart!
With Love,
The Class of 2026

Redlands Community College
Our History
Redlands Community College was founded in 1938 under the auspices of El Reno Public Schools, District I-34, and was originally housed in the basement of El Reno High School. Later, the College moved to the former El Reno Post Office, which was converted into classrooms, laboratories and offices for the growing institution.
In 1971, the public school district Junior College ceased to exist and the people of the district voted to establish a full-fledged Junior College district under the governance of the El Reno Junior College Board of Regents. Later, in 1974, legislation was passed establishing the College as a full member of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. On September 1, 1991, the name of the College was officially changed to Redlands Community College.
Redlands Community College undertook the first phase of construction on its present site north of Interstate 40 at 1300 S. Country Club Road in 1971. Over the years, the campus has grown to include numerous buildings and now encompasses 54 acres. The 150-acre Darlington Agriculture Education and Applied Research Center and the 310-acre Redlands Royse Ranch are located north of El Reno and house all agriculture operations. The Redlands Community College Foundation was the beneficiary of the Austin Family Estate, which includes 1,275 acres in western Canadian County.
As Redlands Community College remains committed to meeting the diverse educational and professional needs of its students, the institution plays an integral role in driving workforce development and supporting local businesses. Through its ongoing dedication, Redlands Community College continues to empower thousands of individuals annually, ensuring a vibrant and prosperous community for years to come.
