Job Description
Redlands Community College is seeking a Part-time Temporary Administrative Assistant
in our Student Services department. This part-time position will be active from June
8th, 2026 through August 7th, 2026. The ideal candidate will provide vital support to the College Admissions and
Advising office by facilitating communication, managing correspondence, maintaining
records, and assisting with scheduling office operations to ensure efficient workflow
and professional service to students, staff, and external contacts. This role also
supports recruitment efforts by coordinating campus tours and serving as a point in
contact for prospective students and families, ensuring a welcoming and informative
experience.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, screen callers, transfer to voicemail,
or take detailed messages to ensure effective communication flow.
Draft and respond to office correspondence, including composing replies to complex
inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
Provide accurate information and respond to questions, verbally or in writing, as
well as routing inquiries to appropriate departments for both internal and external
stakeholders.
Respond promptly to incoming inquiries and follow up with phone calls to ensure timely
resolution and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and manage the admissions email account on an hourly basis to maintain timely
communication and responsiveness.
Retrieve and process daily mail, ensuring timely distribution and handling of correspondence.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing special projects as assigned by leadership.
Schedule appointments and meetings, and maintain calendars to support efficient time
management.
Establish and maintain organized filing systems, including the secure handling of
confidential records.
Perform additional administrative duties and support tasks as assigned to meet evolving
office needs.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to convey information
accurately and respectfully.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, using grammatically
correct English.
Strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
