Redlands Community College nursing students are hosting a fundraising gala Friday, Nov. 7 to increase learning opportunities for students. The inaugural Nursing Gala is a celebration of community, compassion, and care, featuring live and silent auctions, food, and drinks.

Funds raised through the Nursing Gala will help nursing students participate in professional organizations such as the National Student Nurses Association, Oklahoma Student Nurses Association, and Student Nurses Convention. These opportunities help students transition more seamlessly into professional nursing practice and build valuable connections within the healthcare community.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our students to bring the community together to celebrate nursing and raise funds for future professional growth,” said Tara Thomas, head of the Redlands Nursing Department.

The gala will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at Darlington Chapel, 5005 Darlington Rd. NW, El Reno. Tickets can be purchased from nursing students or by calling 405.422.6224 or emailing nursing.program@redlandscc.edu. Tickets are $15 per person for ages 12 and up, $10 for children ages 6-12, and free for ages 5 and under. Guests 21 and older may purchase a $20 wristband for all-inclusive access to the bar.

Organizers are still seeking donations, auction items and basket contributions to help make the event a success. Those interested in supporting the gala can email nursing.program@redlandscc.edu for more information.
