Professor of History

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a full-time Professor of History position. This is a full-time, tenure track, 9-month position with excellent benefits. Responsibilities include:  Teaching responsibilities include teaching all levels of history courses; actively engage in statewide course equivalency initiatives to assure transfer of credits; participate in teaching and professional development; and assist in student retention, recruitment, and academic student engagement.  Required Qualifications:  Master's degree or above in History from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline; have two years of full time teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred with dedication to teaching, professional development, and academic student engagement; and be an accomplished, creative, and energetic teacher that can provide evidence of teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.  Preferred Qualifications:  A Doctorate is preferred; Community College teaching experience is preferred.
