Redlands Community College has named Jon Fields executive vice president, overseeing campus administration and finance.
“Redlands is very fortunate to have someone with Jon Fields’ experience join our team. His military, civilian and educational background will support our efforts to grow and strengthen partnerships with businesses and other education institutions,” said Redlands President Jena Marr. “I look forward to working with him to maximize our financial resources to expand services to students and our surrounding communities.”
With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Master of Business Administration, Fields served as the Director of Information Technology at Redlands Community College and played a pivotal role in spearheading the college's technological adaptation during the pandemic, ensuring a seamless transition to meet the increased technology demands.
Fields’ military service began as an active-duty soldier in the Army before transitioning to the Army National Guard. He eventually transferred to the Army Reserves, focusing on Information Technology, and ultimately retired after 32 years of military services at the esteemed rank of Command Sergeant Major.
“I am excited to return to Redlands in a new role and work with President Marr and her team to foster new partnerships and collaborations that will continue to drive our college’s growth and enhance its impact in our community and surrounding areas,” Fields said.
