It’s time to begin thinking about summer plans, and Redlands Kids’ College provides numerous exciting learning activities for children.
Students who have completed first through sixth grades may attend one, one-week session of Redlands Kids’ College June 4-7 or June 11-14. These sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Kids’ College is a chance for children to explore 24 different sessions in one week. Some session topics include science, art, health, drama and language. This program is unique in that the curriculum in the various academic areas is created and taught by Redlands college students and graduates, with assistance by faculty.
“It’s our goal that children in our community have the opportunity to learn and grow and find their passion through Kids’ College,” said Marcia Shottenkirk, program coordinator and director of Service Learning. “Redlands Community College is pleased to have this chance to work with the children in our area and help them see their potential, whether that’s as a college student or in a particular field of study.”
Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Registration is available at www.redlandscc.edu/kids-college. Students must be registered online before May 25. For more information, email Kids.College@redlandscc.edu.
