  1. How do I apply for financial aid?
The Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the initial application for all federal aid programs. Redlands will request additional forms or documents, if needed after the FAFSA is processed by the government. Redlands has a separate process and application for scholarships. Both applications are available online or hard copies may be obtained by contacting our Student Services Office at 405.422.6250.

  2. What are the deadlines for submitting forms?
The earlier a student files the FAFSA, the earlier the notification process will be completed. Oklahoma residents need to apply on or before March 1 for consideration for the state grant program, OTAG. Additional documents may be required of students after the FAFSA is processed. Responding promptly to any requests for additional information is required to prevent delays in the application process.

  3. How and when will I be notified?
Students who have submitted all requested documentation should receive an award letter, beginning in the late spring. Redlands awards students on a rolling basis as files are completed.

  4. Will my request for financial aid have any impact on my ability to be admitted to college?
No. Acceptance to Redlands is based on academic standards, not financial need. Applying for financial aid will not impact the admission decision in any way.

  5. Can I fill out the FAFSA electronically?
Yes. Visit the Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website. When completing the FAFSA online, both students and parents must create an FSA ID.

  6. Will scholarships reduce the amount of financial aid that I receive?

Depending upon your financial aid eligibility, additional scholarships can reduce your eligibility for student loans, work-study, and grants, other than Pell. Students should not turn down scholarships or grants.

  7. Will financial aid meet my full financial needs?
We will award you the maximum amount that we can, based upon your financial need and the funds that we have available. We also will assist you in finding alternative sources of funding, if necessary.

  8. What do I do next year?
You must re-apply for financial aid every year; therefore, your eligibility for the following year will be determined at that time.

  9. Are there state financial aid programs?
You automatically are considered for any state funding by completing the FAFSA. State funding is limited and varies on an annual basis.

  10. Where can I find additional financial aid?
Contact your high school counselor, Veterans’ Affairs offices, public libraries, civic groups, religious organizations, and organizations affiliated with your field of interest. Various websites also are available to assist you with your search.
