Alternative Education

Through a partnership between Redlands Community College and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, you can now earn your associate degree in criminal justice from your current location, anywhere in Oklahoma. This degree program is offered totally online -- no driving to campus and paying high gas prices. We utilize the Blackboard online format to deliver our classes. If you are near a computer with internet access, you can take your classes and complete your associate degree. This makes our program convenient for the working adult and it's affordable and tailored to fit any schedule.

Corrections is a rapidly expanding field and offers abundant professional career opportunities, diverse types of work and many possibilities for advancement. We are one of the few colleges in Oklahoma to offer a degree emphasis in corrections. We want students to leave our program and become leaders in the field of corrections.

  • Turn your DOC, federal, CCA or OJA training into college credit. Up to 30 hours can be earned from your correctional training at the Oklahoma Correctional Training Academy as well as for specialized training received through in-service or seminars.

  • Available to all correctional employees, officers and staff alike.

  • Military and CLEET training also apply.

  • Transfer credits from other colleges to us.

  • May types of financial aid are available to fund your degree: Federal aid in the form of PELL grants, student loans, etc., RCC scholarships, DOC tuition assistance program and FACTS payment plans.
