Students Returning to College Receive Support

Through the Reach Higher program, Redlands Community College is helping students who have some college credit get back in the classroom and on the path to earning an associate degree.

During its Reach Higher: RECONNECT event July 22, the college will hold sessions to help students find out how to pay for college and discover a career that’s right for them. Academic advisors will be available throughout the event to answer questions and help students enroll for the Fall semester. Attendees can also take a tour of the campus.

“Returning to college or starting for the first time can be scary, so our staff wants to make the process as easy as we can,” said Tricia Hobson, executive director of Student Services. “Our academic advisors are ready to sit down with students to figure out a schedule that works best for them, whether that’s on campus or online.”

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a session on how to pay for college from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Faculty will be sharing information on careers in STEM, agriculture, liberal arts, criminal justice and business during sessions at 10:30 to 11 a.m. and 12:30 to 1 p.m. Tours will be available at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Individuals should go to www.redlandscc.edu/apply to complete an admissions application and then register for the event through Reach Higher. For additional information, please call 405.422.1417 or email Admissions@redlandscc.edu.
