Job Description

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates for part-time, temporary adjunct faculty positions in Agriculture. This position reports directly to the Department Head and is filled on a “need-only” basis through a continuous vacancy announcement. All applications are kept on file, and applicants will be notified when courses become available. Instruction may be delivered online or in a traditional office/classroom setting, involving significant public interaction—whether in person, by phone, via email, or through various communication platforms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching assigned classes
  • Supporting curriculum integrity in collaboration with the Department Head
  • Adhering to the official Redlands Community College course calendar, including holiday breaks and designated start/end dates
  • Assessing and encouraging student achievement based per learning objectives
  • Interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students individually and in groups
  • Promoting the mission of the Department, as well as the College as a whole

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication using clear, grammatically correct English
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), email, and internet usage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience
  • Familiarity with various instructional delivery formats
