Redlands Community College is seeking candidates to apply for the Human Resources
Assistant position. This is a full-time support staff position working 40 hours per
week. The Human Resources Assistant supports the daily operations of the Human Resources
department, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration,
and compliance-related tasks. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Maintain HR forms and distribute via DocuSign or paper.
Post job vacancies, process applications, and schedule interviews.
Maintain accurate personnel and payroll records in Colleague.
Process new hire reports and assist with benefit claims.
Track employee leave, compensatory time, and evaluations.
Support onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes.
Provide information on payroll, benefits, and employment verification.
Monitor safety training completions and maintain training records.
Prepare purchase orders and manage HR budget and P-card purchases.
Assist with adjunct and overload contracts.
Scan and archive personnel files.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Recent experience working in a human resources related role.
Preferred:
Associates degree preferred.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is
believed to exist.
