Professor of Nursing/Assistant Department Head of Nursing and Allied Health

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Professor of Nursing/Assistant Department Head of Nursing and Allied Health position in the Nursing and Allied Health Department.  This is a full-time, tenure track, 10-month position with excellent benefits. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000. Position reports to Department Head of Nursing and Allied Health. Responsibilities include:  Teach course subjects as arranged in one or more nursing specialties including Adult Health, Medical Surgical, Pediatric, Maternal-Newborn, Psychiatric, and Leadership Nursing along with an assigned clinical group; participate in assigned simulation times; assist with providing oversight of adjunct faculty in collaboration with the Department Head of Nursing and team members within clinical, laboratory, classroom settings; interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students individually and in healthcare facilities; coordinate clinical rotations; assist with compiling data and departmental reports; participate in recruitment and maintaining partnerships between the college and other organizations within the community; report to the Nursing Department Head; promote the mission n of the Department, as well as the College as a whole; maintain regular office hours and participate as a faculty coach.  The individual that is hired for this position will be expected to serve on institutional committees, attend scheduled in-services, and attend professional development programs. Qualifications include: a Master’s degree in Nursing required and prior teaching experience is preferred.  Unencumbered Oklahoma RN license and equivalent of two years full-time practice as an RN. Working knowledge of curriculum development and program review. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with ACEN accreditation processes and inherent documentation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local area schools, and others in the community to support educational achievement. Experience in managing and supervising diverse personnel. Familiar with design and implementation of articulation agreements. Head Coach of Men's Baseball

Redlands Community College is seeking a multi-disciplinary Men’s Baseball Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure track faculty position with excellent benefits. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Recruitment of qualified potential student athletes; budget preparation and management; adherence to all NJCAA, Region 2 and Redlands Community College policies and procedures; directing practice; conditioning session competitions; participation in department fundraising activities; participation in department community outreach initiatives; and instruct up to 9 credit hours fall and spring semester. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree or graduate coursework preferred; performance and coaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level and elite club level; proven skill sets in working with athletes, recent knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations, boosters/corporate sponsors, and budget; knowledge of strength training, conditioning, and first aid; ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with competing deadlines; organizational skills and attention to detail, including record keeping, budget, and scheduling; be knowledgeable with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations; and be a skilled communicator to a diverse group of constituencies. Professor of Chemistry

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a full-time Professor of Chemistry position. This is a full-time, tenure track, 9-month position with excellent benefits. Responsibilities include:  Teaches, advises, recruits and mentors students, evaluates student performance, and maintains department and student information in accordance with policies. Adheres to the educational philosophy of the college. Works in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers. Participates in meetings that relate specifically to faculty and department needs. Develops curriculum and assessment plans for courses in field of expertise and integrates applied research into the curriculum. Candidates will be expected to teach courses and laboratories within the areas of chemistry and physical sciences. Courses may include General Chemistry I and II, Survey of General, Organic and Biochemistry and Physical Science.  Candidates may be expected to teach in a variety of instructional formats (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) as well as morning, day and evening classes. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the chemical inventory of the department, maintaining safety protocols for the labs and waste disposal.  Required Qualifications:  Master's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in chemistry related area; have two years of teaching experience at the collegiate level with dedication to teaching, professional development, and academic student engagement; and be an accomplished, creative, and energetic teacher that can provide evidence of teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.  Effective online teaching experience including completion of Quality Matters online training certification (or willingness to complete). Preferred Qualifications:  A Doctorate is preferred; Community College teaching experience is preferred.
