Scholarship Applications Available Online

The online scholarship and tuition waiver application is open for current and prospective Redlands Community College students. New tuition waiver scholarships are available and most range from $250 to $1,000 for each academic year. The Redlands Community College Foundation offers nearly 40 scholarships, including an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to receive a scholarship that offsets fees associated with concurrent classes.

“We are pleased to be able to offer students a way to make a college education more affordable,” said Redlands President Jena Marr. “Financial aid is necessary for so many students, and these tuition waivers and foundation scholarships help fill the financial gap for Redlands students.”

The application deadline for scholarships is February 1, and the priority deadline for tuition waivers is also February 1. Tuition waivers are available for freshman and returning students. Applicants for the Freshman Tuition Waiver will also be considered for the Regents and Presidential Scholarships, and with approval from the State Regents for Higher Education, the Regents Scholarship can be transferred to a four-year institution.

The foundation offers a variety of scholarships, including awards designated for graduates of Calumet, Okarche and El Reno; scholarships for specific areas of study; and other more general scholarships.

A list of foundation scholarships and their criteria is available online. While most foundation scholarship applications are due February 1, applications for nursing scholarships are due May 31. Tuition waiver scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to qualified applicants.

High school juniors and seniors are able to take college courses tuition free, but they are still responsible for fees associated with the classes. The Redlands Foundation is providing a scholarship to help cover those fees which could allow these students to take completely free classes. The scholarship application for the Spring 2024 semester is available and must be submitted by January 29. The scholarship does not cover the cost of textbooks or course materials.
