The Athletic/Personal Trainer program is designed for students who are interested
in entering the fields of corporate wellness, health/fitness clubs, fitness education
programs, and personal fitness training.
Program Outcomes
Provide health and wellness education to peers and in the community.
Utilize communication skills to effectively interact with others.
Assist individuals in the development and implementation of training plan to promote
wellness.
Demonstrate appropriate use of technology to locate reliable and relevant information
necessary to promote health and wellness.

Program Description: The Athletic/Personal Trainer program is designed for students
who are interested in entering the fields of corporate wellness, health/fitness clubs,
fitness education programs, and personal fitness training. After completing the Personal
Trainer Option of this Degree, students will be ready to take one of the many fitness
certification exams and begin working in the fitness field of their choice.
