Adjunct Professor for Biology - Part-time position(s)

Adjunct Nursing Clinical Instructors - Part-time positions.
Redlands Community College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty for clinical instruction for the ACEN accredited and OBN approved Associate Degree in Nursing RN program. Successful candidates will work in a team, either freshman or sophomore level, in clinical settings with nursing student groups. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to pre-conference with nursing students at clinical facilities as required, clinical supervision, post-conference with students, grading of care plans, and clinical evaluations of nursing students at the end of clinical experience. Adjunct orientation will be provided to facilitate the role of clinical instructor and review paperwork necessary for the role. Redlands strives to maintain a climate of open communication where faculty is included in decision making and guidance of situations with students. Qualifications include an unencumbered Oklahoma RN license; equivalent of two years full-time practice as an RN; and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Director of NASNTI (Part F) Grant and Counselor of Admissions and Advising – Full-time position.
Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for one full-time position comprised of two 0.5 positions. The position is a full-time, 12-month position with 0.5 of the job being a 12-month federally funded position and 0.5 of the job being a 12-month state funded position. Both portions of the job will report to the Chief Academic Officer. Under the 0.5 NASNTI grant funded position, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervise two full-time and one part-time NASNTI employees; oversee of all aspects of NASNTI Part F grant operations including grant compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional rules and regulations; report NASNTI grant activities to campus administration, the Federal Department of Education program office, and other parties as needed; travel as needed to carry out objectives of the grant; meet with Native American tribal officials and other individuals to establish close-working relationships with agencies that serve the Native American and low income populations; and understand the mission of community college. Under the 0.5 state funded position, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, provide assessment, quality counseling and/or referrals for Redlands Community College students through individual, relational, or group sessions. Provide career assessment to undecided majors. Possess a working knowledge of local, regional, and national trends in college mental health care. Develop seminars or workshops in conjunction with, or independent of, area healthcare providers. Maintain counseling records and data to reflect campus trends. Provide leadership for interface with local community resources and campus student activities which enhance the well-being, mental health, and enhanced collegiate community life at Redlands. Minimum qualifications include: Completed Master’s degree from an accredited higher education institution. Must be licensed in the State of Oklahoma, or be eligible for licensure, as a Professional Counselor, Marital and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker. Federal grant management experience. Budget management experience. Microsoft Office proficient. Ability to research, organize, and present information that affects the campus community and NASNTI grant goals in both oral and written format. Ability to supervise staff productively, interpret and communicate information clearly, interact effectively with people, and maintain confidentiality. Preferred qualifications include: Title III, NASNTI, or similar Federal grant management experience preferred. Understanding of specific issues that provide barriers to Native American and low-income students. Experience in a higher education counseling environment with career counseling experience. Fully licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Three to five years documented experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred. Fitness Center Workers – Part-time positions
Part-time positions working up to 25 hours per week.  Positions are responsible for the safety and well-being of individuals using the Fitness Center facility.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to being alert at all times of surroundings, preventing situations that may result in accidents or injury, keep facility and equipment clean at all times, report broken equipment or building problems, show members how to use equipment as needed, react to emergency situations. General Farm Hand – Part-time position(s)
Part-time position(s), working up to 20 hours per week. Livestock work is mainly with dairy and meat goats. Duties will include attending to live animals, which includes feeding, watering, herding, weighing, catching, and loading animals. Other duties may include maintaining records on animals, examining animals to detect diseases and injuries, assisting in birth deliveries, and administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate. Applicants must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at Redlands Community College; be able to do general cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including cleaning and maintaining animal housing areas; be able to operate tractors, mowers, and string trimmers; and be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Additionally, applicants must be able to tolerate extreme cold and hot temperatures; be able to tolerate animal dander; and be able to work a highly flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Assistant Coach for Livestock Judging - Part time position
This is a part time position. Responsibilities include: serve as Assistant Coach for the Redlands Livestock Judging Team; recruit Redlands agriculture students; work with educators and producers in the region, state and country to foster positive relationships for the College; maintain a safe environment for students, visitors and animals; must be accessible to the needs of the College, especially in the case of an emergency. Mandatory qualifications include: available to work evenings and weekends; experience in collegiate livestock judging; and a clean driving record. Part-time positions working up to 25 hours per week. The Academic Center for Enhancement is seeking tutors in the following areas:

A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to establish rapport and communicate with students and instructors. Qualifications include: successfully completed the course of study with a grade of "B" or better for which they will be tutoring. Enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College preferred. Students enrolled at four-year institutions will be considered. Part-time, temporary position, working games as scheduled.  Pay is $25.00 per game. Position runs until March 30, 2018. Responsibilities include ability to run a scoreboard clock, and/or a shot clock, and input scores into the scoreboard for soccer and/or basketball games.  Employees will be required to arrive prior to the start of the games, and remain after the games have ended to assist with equipment setup and take-down.  Other duties include: following all facility policies, rules and regulations; inspecting and reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor; and other duties as assigned. Manager of Men's Basketball Operations - Part-time position
Redlands Community College, a member of the Region II of NJCAA, is accepting applications for the position of Manager of Men's Basketball Operations. Upward Bound Bus Driver - Part-time/Temporary position
This position is for an as needed bus driver who is available to drive one Saturday a month as needed for a federally funded grant program. Requirements include: Current Oklahoma CDL License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements, verifiable safe driving record, flexible schedule, and knowledge of the surrounding five-county service area. Responsibility includes: Safely transport Upward Bound students to and from Upward Bound events as directed by Upward Bound staff, follow all Redlands policies for check out and utilization of college vehicles, and responsible for the safety of Upward Bound participants in transit. Group Exercise Instructor - Part-time position
Redlands Community College is looking for a part-time Group Exercise Instructor. The position is under the supervision of the Wellness Class and Fitness for Life Coordinator. The applicant must have an individual or group type exercise certification and have experience in Boot Camp, Cardio Strength and Endurance, or Self Defense/Martial Arts being taught. Current CPR certification is also required for the position. The applicant must provide well designed programs while monitoring and educating patrons on fitness and safety. Yoga Instructor - Part-time position
Redlands Community College is looking for a part-time Certified Yoga Instructor.  The Beginning Yoga Instructor will be responsible for providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for the Wellness/Longevity beginning yoga class participants.  This will be in the form of instructing and demonstrating safe yoga poses, guiding safe stretching, and practicing breathing exercises.  The individual in this position must be able to instruct a yoga class and provide levels of modification tailored to the individual's needs.  A Yoga certification is required to instruct the class and a CPR certification is required for the safety of the class.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Position is open until filled.

The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program is seeking tutor(s) for multiple locations, including the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in downtown Oklahoma City. Specifically, VUB is seeking tutor(s) in the following areas of study: Mathematics, Reading and Writing. Tutor(s) will provide individual and small group tutoring sessions; facilitate learning as a guide to assist VUB participants to become successful, independent learners; and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the participant's potential for academic progress. Part-time student positions working up to 20 hours per week for a federally-funded grant program. The Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Stem (Part A) Grant is looking for tutors in all areas of Science and Mathematics. Tutors will provide individual and group tutoring sessions designed to increase student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course, integrate skills in effective study and learning to enhance academic success, and provide general academic assistance in one or more science areas of study. A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport with students, staff, faculty, and NASNTI-STEM program staff. Qualifications include: a grade of “B” or better in any course for which tutoring will be provided and enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College is preferred, though students enrolled at four-year institutions will be considered. Peer tutors must exhibit good work habits such as time management, resource management, and flexibility. CLERY STATEMENT

Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and security of our campuses.

Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands, to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is believed to exist.
