REDLANDS HIRES NEW GOLF COACH

EL RENO, Okla. — Taylor Neidy has been named women’s golf coach at Redlands Community College. She spent two years playing professionally on various tours and served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.

“I’m excited for this opportunity here at Redlands and can’t wait to start the season. Redlands golf has a history of winning championships, and I want to get back on that track,” Neidy said.

Neidy, a graduate of Clinton High School, spent four years playing for the University of Central Oklahoma’s golf team, earning All-American honors. In 2014, she was the NCAA Division II Super Regional individual champion and was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Conference Player of the Year.

“I am excited to have Taylor Neidy as the head women’s golf coach at Redlands Community College. She brings a great deal of experience and talent to the program,” said Eli Zucksworth, Redlands athletic director. “Coach Neidy will be a valuable asset to Redlands Athletics, and we are looking forward to working with her.”

The team competed in the National Championship Tournament earlier this year, finishing in sixth place. With two returning players and the addition of a highly anticipated freshman from Sweden, Neidy has high expectations for this year.
