Adjunct Instructor for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) - Part-time position.

Reading and Writing Instructor - Part-time position.
The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is looking for an Instructor to teach remedial Reading and Writing to VUB participants.  This is a federally funded grant program.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to: instruct and tutor VUB participants in remedial Reading and Writing subject areas; develop, facilitate, and evaluate curriculum; create, facilitate, and deliver workshops; assist the Academic Specialists with educational and career plans created for the VUB participant; assist with required VUB reports; and attend staff meetings and training events.  Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred) in education, counseling, or related field; experience in TRiO programs or working with disadvantaged adult populations returning to education; demonstrated knowledge of issues affecting the academic potential of low-income and/or potential first generation college students; ability to develop and coordinate subject-related curriculum and academic support programs for returning adult students; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; and basic knowledge of computer usage:  word processing and spreadsheets.  Preference will be given to individuals who have succeeded in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting VUB target populations.  To apply for this position:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

Adjunct Nursing Clinical Instructors - Part-time positions.
Redlands Community College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty for clinical instruction for the NLNAC accredited and OBN approved Associate Degree in Nursing RN program.  Successful candidates will work in a team, either freshman or sophomore level, in clinical settings with nursing student groups.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to pre-conference with nursing students at clinical facilities as required, clinical supervision, post-conference with students, grading of care plans, and clinical evaluations of nursing students at the end of clinical experience.  Adjunct orientation will be provided to facilitate the role of clinical instructor and review paperwork necessary for the role.  Redlands strives to maintain a climate of open communication where faculty is included in decision making and guidance of situations with students.  Qualifications include an unencumbered Oklahoma RN license; equivalent of two years full-time practice as an RN; and a Master's degree in Nursing is required.  State and Federal background checks required prior to beginning employment.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, official college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until qualified applicants are identified and selected and positions are filled.

Adjunct Instructor for Physical Science - Part-time position(s).

STEM Curriculum Development Specialist – Full-time Position.
Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the STEM Curriculum Development Specialist of the Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Stem (Part A) Grant.  This is a full-time, 12-month, federally funded grant position with excellent benefits.  The grant is a new 5-year funded grant which started October 1, 2015.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  develop, pilot, and evaluate new courses for the Aquaponics and Sustainability emphasis area within a designated Associated of Science degree program and related AAS and certificate programs, following the ADDIE model of instruction design; develop, pilot, and evaluate laboratory sections for the new courses, following the ADDIE model of instruction design; participate in developing new matriculation agreements with 4-year institutions; serve as an instructor for grant-related curricula; adhere to and incorporate national, state, and local standards for safety and grant regulatory compliance; participate in student engagement and staff-related activities related to the goals of the NASNTI STEM (Part A) grant; work with the NASNTI staff to carry out the objectives of the grant, as determined by the Director; and assume other special duties and assignments as assigned by the Director.  Requirements include:  Bachelor of Science/Arts required, graduate degree preferred; budget experience required; proficiency in Microsoft Office required; excellent oral and written skills required; candidate must be dependable, punctual, organized and detail-oriented.  Experience with federal grants and three to five years documented experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; content expertise in agricultural, biological, environmental, or ecological sciences, along with experience in multidisciplinary instruction preferred. Director of Learning Resources Center - Full-time position.
10-month, full-time position with excellent benefits.  The Director of Learning Resources Center administers all aspects of library services and resources in support of student learning, academic programs, and faculty teaching and research. Position reports to the Dean of Service Development and Allied Health.  Responsibilities include planning, organizing, operation and evaluation of the Learning Resources Center (LRC).  The director will work closely with faculty and department heads to ensure the LRC's resources and services support the curriculum.  Qualifications include a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited school; knowledge of current library and information resources; and excellent organization, management and communication skills.  One to three years supervisory experience preferred.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

Peer Tutor(s) - Part-time position(s).
Part-time position(s) working up to 6 hours per week. The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program is seeking tutor(s) for their satellite office located on the VA Hospital in in Oklahoma City, OK. Specifically, VUB is seeking tutor(s) in the following areas of study: Mathematics, Reading and Writing. Tutor(s) will provide individual and small group tutoring sessions; facilitate learning as a guide to assist VUB participants to become successful, independent learners; and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the participant's potential for academic progress. A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to establish rapport and communicate with participants. Qualifications include: Successfully completed the course of study with a grade of "B" or better for which they will be tutoring. Preferred Qualification: Letter of recommendation from subject area instructor.  Ability to provide tutoring in all areas. Transportation Van Driver - Part-time position.
Part-time position (Monday thru Thursday, working up to 29 hours per week) for a grant funded program providing transportation for senior citizens.  Applicant must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.  A good knowledge of Canadian County and Oklahoma County roads a must.  To apply for position: submit a cover letter, resume, and three references with names, addresses, and telephone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

Security Officer – Part-time position.

Fitness Center Workers – Part-time positions.
Part-time positions working up to 25 hours per week.  Positions are responsible for the safety and well-being of individuals using the Fitness Center facility.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to being alert at all times of surroundings, preventing situations that may result in accidents or injury, keep facility and equipment clean at all times, report broken equipment or building problems, show members how to use equipment as needed, react to emergency situations, and answer telephone.  Qualifications include good communication skills both written and verbal, strong work ethic, reliable, good telephone skills and customer service skills, must be able to work without supervision, must be able to work a variety of hours including weekends and evenings, ability to handle emergency situations, ability to work with diverse populations, and ability to lift 50 pounds.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Positions are open until filled. 
 
Yoga Instructor - Part-time position.
Redlands Community College is looking for a part-time Certified Yoga Instructor.  The Beginning Yoga Instructor will be responsible for providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for the Wellness/Longevity beginning yoga class participants.  This will be in the form of instructing and demonstrating safe yoga poses, guiding safe stretching, and practicing breathing exercises.  The individual in this position must be able to instruct a yoga class and provide levels of modification tailored to the individual's needs.  A Yoga certification is required to instruct the class and a CPR certification is required for the safety of the class.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Position is open until filled. 

Peer Tutor(s) - Part-time position(s).
Part-time student positions working up to 20 hours per week for a federally-funded grant program.  The Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Stem (Part A) Grant is looking for tutors in all areas of Science. Tutors will provide individual and group tutoring sessions designed to increase student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course, integrate skills in effective study and learning to enhance academic success, and provide general academic assistance in one or more science areas of study. A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport with students, staff, faculty, and NASNTI-STEM program staff. Zumba Instructor - Part-time position.
Redlands Community College is looking for a part-time Certified Zumba Instructor.  The applicant must be able to safely encourage and instruct participants on Zumba routines.  Motivational skills are a must, as a variety of fitness levels will be present in most classes.  The Instructor is responsible for providing their own music and choreography for each class.  Good communication tools are necessary to communicate and properly instruct the class.  Proof of certification is required.  Experience is preferred.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of certifications, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

Testing Center Proctor - Part-time position.
The Academic Center for Enhancement is seeking a Testing Center Proctor.  This is a part-time position working up to 25 hours per week, which may include some evening hours. Responsibilities include opening and closing the Testing Center, proctoring exams, maintaining test security, assisting professors with exam submissions, maintaining a quiet and distraction-free environment, and maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications include enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College preferred. Farm Workers (Garden and Vineyard) - Part-time positions.
Part-time positions, working up to 25 hours per week. Work will mainly be in the vegetable garden and the vineyard. Job duties will include, but not limited to sowing seeds; taking care of plants - watering weeding, pruning, feeding and spraying, and harvesting; mowing and weed-eating; and other duties as assigned. Requirements include the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions since work is primarily outside in the garden and vineyards, ability to lift approximately fifty pounds, ability to use standard horticulture tools and mowing equipment. Applicant must have good attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in and agricultural related field desired, experience in viticulture environment preferred, basic understanding and interest in horticulture desired. Lifeguards - Part-time positions.
Part-time, up to 25 hours per week positions. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies in a quick and effective manner; enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations; inspect the facility and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor; and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include: current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid, and American Red Cross CPR/AED; and have a thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
