The following positions are currently open at Redlands Community College.

FACULTY  

Professor for Mathematics - Full-time position with excellent benefits. 
Position is a nine-month faculty position.  Responsibilities include: teach freshman and sophomore college-level mathematics courses; assist in student retention and recruiting, especially during enrollment periods both on campus and at outreach sites; inform/educate high school seniors, counselors and parents in the requirements for concurrent College Algebra classes; participate in statewide course equivalency project to assure transfer of credits; participate in professional development and campus assessment activities; and participate in collegial activities with faculty from other academic programs to ensure relevance and rigor of the curriculum.  Master's Degree in Mathematics or related field preferred; two years of mathematics teaching experience at the college level preferred; and community college teaching experience preferred.  Effective communication skills are necessary.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

Adjunct Instructor(s)

Adjunct Instructor – Part-time position.
Part-time Instructor needed to teach during the Fall 2014 semester in the area of Spanish.  Nighttime availability required for the El Reno campus.  The successful candidate will have Native/Near Native fluency in both Spanish and English, as well as a Master’s degree in Spanish or Bilingual Education with a specialization in applied linguistics or closely related field. Adjunct Professor for Government - Part-time positions. 
Redlands Community College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty for Government for the Fall 2014 semester.  A master's degree in the area of instruction is required for these positions.  Daytime and evening classes are available.  To apply: submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers. Adjunct Nursing Clinical Instructors - Part-time positions.
Redlands Community College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty for clinical instruction for the NLNAC accredited and OBN approved Associate Degree in Nursing RN program.  Successful candidates will work in a team, either freshman or sophomore level, in clinical settings with nursing student groups.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to pre-conference with nursing students at clinical facilities as required, clinical supervision, post-conference with students, grading of care plans, and clinical evaluations of nursing students at the end of clinical experience.  Adjunct orientation will be provided to facilitate the role of clinical instructor and review paperwork necessary for the role.  Redlands strives to maintain a climate of open communication where faculty is included in decision making and guidance of situations with students.  Qualifications include an unencumbered Oklahoma RN license; equivalent of two years full-time practice as an RN; and a Master’s degree in Nursing is required.  State and Federal background checks required prior to beginning employment.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, official college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until qualified applicants are identified, selected and positions are filled. 

EMS Clinical Instructor/Lab Instructor - Part-time position.
Responsibilities include assisting students in all levels of EMS Lab skills (FR through Paramedic).  Position will communicate with Lab Coordinator, EMT Program Coordinator, and all EMT Adjunct Faculty to discuss objectives and student progress/problems throughout the semester.  Must be able to exhibit appropriate professional attire (business casual) and behavior; follow all course guidelines and expectations as outlined in course and clinical syllabus;  arrive 15 minutes early to assure lab is set up to accommodate student needs; meet with students, assist them in becoming proficient with required laboratory skills, evaluate student proficiency concerning required skills, and document observations of student skills and behaviors for Basic EMT through PC IV students as needed;  and possess current and valid NR and OK licensure at the EMT level being taught or higher.  Requirements include a minimum of two years clinical experience; evidence of current or recent practice in the health field; maintain Health Care Provider CPR; and must be able to proficiently demonstrate every required skill.  Associate's degree or higher preferred with Paramedic level and EMS Instructor certification.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts and/or certifications, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled. 

EMT Adjunct Instructor - Part-time position.
Adjunct Instructor is needed to teach classes in Emergency Medical Technology.  Requirements for the position:  Applicant must hold a license in the Health Profession (EMT, Paramedic), State EMS Instructor Certification, CPR Instructor, and Experience in the Health/EMS Field (Minimum of 2 years level of instruction).  Classes taught by this position could include:  1st Responder EMS 1113; Basic EMT EMS 1117; EMT Intermediate EMS 1129; and/or Paramedic Care I EMS 2219.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts and/or certifications, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position is open until filled.

PROFESSIONAL

SUPPORT  

Security Staff - Part-time position.
Part-time position, averaging 25 hours per week.  Applicant should be willing to work any shift, including overnight, week-ends, and holidays on a rotating basis.  Applicant must be dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, hardworking, and physically fit.  Reliable transportation is required.  Familiarity with federal and state law enforcement regulations a plus.  CLEET certification a plus.  Familiarity with technology an asset.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK 73036.  Position is open until filled.

Peer Tutor(s)
- Part-time position(s).
Part-time student positions working up to 15 hours per week.  AAA Center is looking for tutors in the following areas:

  • Mathematics
  • Science - including, but not limited to: Chemistry, Geology, Anatomy

Tutors will provide individual and small group tutoring sessions; facilitate learning as a guide to assist the student to become a successful, independent learner; facilitate an increase and enhancement in student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study as presented by the course instructor; and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the student's potential for academic progress.  A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate with students and instructors.  Qualifications include:  successfully completed the course of study with a grade of "B" or better for which they will be tutoring and be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK 73036.  Position(s) are open until filled. 

Professional Tutor(s)
- Part-time position(s).
Part-time position(s) working up to 10 hours per week.  AAA Center is looking for professional tutors in the areas of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Writing. Tutors will provide individual and small group tutoring sessions in approved subjects; facilitate learning as a guide to assist the student to become a successful, independent learner; facilitate an increase and enhancement in student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study as presented by the course instructor; and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the student's potential for academic progress.  A Professional Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students and instructors.  Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in the content area or a related subject area.  To apply:  submit a cover letter, resume, copies of college transcripts, and three references with names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Position(s) are open until filled.

Peer Tutor(s) - Part-time position(s).
Part-time student positions working up to 20 hours per week.  All Nations Business Institute is looking for tutors in the areas of business.  These are defined as following:

  • Business Communication - any technical writing, essays, public speaking (speeches)
  • Business Math - math, statistics, calculus
  • Accounting - college, financial, managerial
  • General Business - Ethics, Marketing, Management, Economics

Tutors will provide individual and small group tutoring sessions in approved subjects; facilitate learning as a guide to assist the student to become a successful, independent learner; facilitate an increase and enhancement in student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study as presented by the course instructor; and integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the student's potential for academic progress.  A Peer Tutor must demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students and instructors.  Qualifications include:  successfully completed the course of study with a grade of "B" or better for which they will be tutoring and be enrolled in a least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Position(s) are open until filled.

Lifeguard(s) - Part-time positions.
Part-time, up to 25 hours per week positions.  Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies in a quick and effective manner; enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations; inspect the facility and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor; and other duties as assigned.  Minimum qualifications include:  current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid, and American Red Cross CPR/AED; and have a thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.  Applications may be picked up from the Human Resources Department at Redlands Community College, 1300 South Country Club Road, El Reno, OK  73036.  Positions are open until filled.
